Fake ghee factory busted in Chandpole

Jaipur: A team of the medical and health department along with police on Saturday unearthed a fake ghee manufacturing unit under campaign against adulteration in Jaipur.

A team led by CMHO First Vijay Singh Faujdar raided a place near Chandpole and unearthed the unit. 3000 liter fake ghee of several famous brands was recovered from the unit. The fake ghee was of the bands like Krishna, Sara, Gopi and Mahan. Along with the fake ghee, more than 2000 litres of oil was also seized from the unit in Maliyon ka Mohalla near Chandpole gate area.

Food Inspector Ratan Godara, Naresh Chejara, Narendra Sharma, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Sharma and Pavan Gupta were also part of the team.

In a similar incident last year in October, the health department busted two factories in Harmada and at Ajmer Road for making spurious ghee of well-known brands.
