Faecal sludge mgmt should be done through scientific technique: Arora
Jaipur: The RHB will lay emphasis on faecal sludge management through biological and scientific means in its various housing schemes. The Board will work on a plan for proper disposal of sewage. RHB Commissioner Pawan Arora has directed to start its pilot project in schemes of Daurai, Nayla, Hanumangarh, Kotputli and Badi Saddi with a view to give impetus to Swachh Bharat Abhiyan-2.0.
A presentation in this regard was given on Monday. It was told that waste sewage from toilets reaches septic tank in liquid & solid form. In the absence of proper management, sewage takes solid form over time & causes water & land pollution. It is possible to dispose of human excreta via biological process using bacteria. With this, pollution level coming out from septic tank outlet can be reduced by 60 to 30 %. Arora directed to start this scheme as a pilot project with an aim for proper management as per Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
