Factory sealed, owner held after Kaladera blast; protestors assured of compensation

Chomu (Jaipur): In the wake of a blast at a casting factory in the Kaladera area of Jaipur district, Jaipur Rural SP Shantanu Kumar directed the police to seal factory.

A case of negligence has been filed against the factory owner and contractor, while the accused - Ravi - also known as Sanjay Sharma, a resident of Chomu was arrested. The accused was questioned, and efforts were underway to locate other partners and contractors involved. Meanwhile, a protest was held at Chomu police station which ended after a promise of funds from CM’s Ayushman Scheme, deceased’s wife being offered a contract job and a dairy booth, and the Kaladera RIICO Association providing a Rs 10 lakh check to family.
