Every govt pledges action, but gives in later

Jaipur: In the state, coaching institutes that continuously prepare students for competitive exams are becoming factories of stress, but the government and administration are not ready to rein them in. Every government announces plans to bring coaching institutes under legal regulation, but later they surrender under pressure. The need for a detailed investigation into student suicide cases is often overlooked. Despite constant stress revealed in police closing reports, cases of inciting suicide are not registered against these institutes. In the last five years, 43 cases of student suicides linked to Allen Institute, which runs the most coaching centres in the state, have come to light, yet this institute has been given a clean chit in all investigations.
