Jaipur: Following the SC’s recent decision on SC/ST reservations, some organisations have called for a Bharat Bandh on August 21 via social media. CS Sudhanshu Pant reviewed law and order and traffic management arrangements at the Secretariat and issued necessary directions.

ACS (Home) Anand Kumar, DGP UR Sahoo, DGP (Intelligence) Sanjay Agarwal, ADG (Law & Order) Vishal Bansal, & Secretary (Home) Rashmi Gupta were present. Feedback was gathered from Range IGPs, Divisional Commissioners, SPs, & Collectors via VC. Pant instructed continuous communication with bandh organisers, sharing procession details with authorities.

He stressed monitoring trade associations, deploying forces near statues, ensuring police presence at events, and addressing misinformation on social media.
