Ensure smooth power supply for Rabi crop season, says CM

Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Tuesday addressed the high level review meeting of the Energy Department in the CMO and said that in view of the geographical situation of the state, the demand for electricity in the state remains much more than the availability for some months, but now with the implementation of MoUs in the energy sector, the electricity demand of Rajasthan will also be fulfilled and the state will come in the category of surplus in power generation.

He directed the officials to coordinate with the central undertakings and ensure the implementation of these MoUs. The Chief Minister directed that in view of the upcoming Rabi crop season, the department should keep its preparations complete so that the farmers can get a smooth power supply for irrigation.

Addressing the review meeting on the budget announcement 2024-25 (account-grant), hundred-day action plan, the CM said that the main objective of the state government is to serve the common man by establishing a model of good governance in state.
