Electric rickshaw quota increased to 33K in Jaipur
Jaipur: The meeting of Traffic Control Board of Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) was held on Wednesday. During the meeting, it was decided that a total of 33,000 erickshaws will ply on city in place of 29,000 while the transport dept cited the need for funds to seize old diesel auto rickshaws, following which, instructions were given to take funds from RTIDF or Rajasthan Road Safety Fund.
The proposal for 27 new proposed routes was also post-facto approved in meeting. The meeting was chaired by JDA Commissioner Dr Jogaram.
