ED: Another arrest in corruption case related to Jal Jeevan Mission

Jaipur: In a significant development, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken decisive action in Jaipur under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Another contractor has been arrested in a corruption case related to the Jal Jeevan Mission.

Reliable sources have confirmed that Mahesh Mittal, the director of Shri Ganpati Tubewell, was apprehended late Wednesday night. Shri Ganpati Tubewell is known for its involvement in a substantial payment of Rs 367.56 crore, linked to tenders received under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme. ED has been given custody for 5 days. The ED had previously arrested contractor Padam Chand Jain and his son Piyush Jain in connection with this case. Both father and son are currently in custody.

Mahesh Mittal’s arrest marks the latest development in the ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission.
