ECI acts against officers for failing to stop illegal liquor

Jaipur: Following ECI’s instructions, District Collector of Alwar & SPs of three districts have been removed. The Commission has taken this strict action against these officers for failing to stop illegal liquor coming from Punjab and Haryana.

The DoP has given instructions to relieve Alwar Collector Pukhraj Sen from his duty with immediate effect and hand over the charge to the Dy DEO. Hanumangarh SP Sudhir Chaudhary, Bhiwadi, KhairthalTijara SP Karan Sharma and Churu SP RK Meena have been asked to hand over charge to ASPs. ECI said there is a possibility of narcotics smuggling in Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar where there is an int’l border. So, special care should be taken.
