Due to negligence of Congress govt, accused were acquitted: CP Joshi

Jaipur: Before the assembly poll, BJP has made the acquittal of the Jaipur serial bomb blast case accused an election issue. BJP took out a candle march with the family members of the blast victims. The party supporters gathered at Ramlila Maidan where the victims were present on the stage. BJP leaders were sitting down the stage.

BJP State President CP Joshi said that 1,200 govt witnesses had given evidence that the blast accused had planted the bomb there but due to the negligence of the Congress govt, the accused were acquitted. LoP Rajendra Rathore said that the Congress govt will have to face consequences. He announced that when the BJP government will be formed in Rajasthan, an economic package for the bomb blast victims will be brought so that families can be helped.

Former state prez Arun Chaturvedi said that due to the Cong govt not presenting strong prosecution, the accused were acquitted by the high court.
