Drone survey figures false, reveals physical verification

Jaipur: All drone survey figures were found to be false during the physical verification of the assessment of gravel stock in Tonk. Additional Director Geology NP Singh was in-charge when the drone survey done.

On the instructions of Mines Secretary Anandi, a three-member team did a physical verification.

In the drone survey, the stock of gravel was said to be 40.017 lakh metric tons. According to online records it was only 23.83 lakh metric tons. Whereas in physical verification the stock was shown as 24.93 lakh tonnes.

There was a difference of a significant 15 lakh metric tons between the data in records and that found on actual physical inspection.

The average density of gravel stock turned out to be 1.62 tons per cubic metre. Whereas in the drone survey the calculation was given as 2.6 tonnes per cubic metre.
