Dreadful form of eye flu being seen, take precautions: Doctors

Jaipur: With the onset of the rainy season, seasonal diseases have started knocking at every house. These days the flu is coming out as the biggest disease in every house. Hundreds of patients suffering from eye flu are reaching all the hospitals and SMS hospital every day.

Dr. Pankaj Sharma, HOD, Department of Ophthalmology, SMS hospital told First India that due to Covid, there were fewer cases in the last two-three years. But now a very dreadful form of eye flu is being seen. This disease does not spread by sight or by air. Fear of spreading the disease to another person just by touching the infection. In such a situation, people should isolate the person suffering from infection, he said.

Efforts should be made to keep the things touched by the afflicted patient separate so that the infection of eye-flu does not spread from one person to another, he said.
