Dr Somya row: 40-page report sent to AAG, to be presented in SC soon

Jaipur: After sacking 3 councillors in Jaipur Municipal Corporation Greater, now the government wants to take immediate action against Mayor Dr Somya. For this, the govt has sent a 40-page report of the judicial inquiry to be presented in the Supreme Court. The report has been sent to the Additional Advocate General (AAG) and it is likely that it will be presented in the court within 2 to 3 days. Preparations are being made to take special permission from the court in this matter. If sacked from the post, she will not be able to contest polls for 6 years. According to official sources, the hearing in the matter which is pending in the Supreme Court is proposed on October 26.

In the SC order staying suspension of Dr Somya on February 1, the state government or the parties were directed to take further action only after presenting the report of the judicial inquiry. In the judicial inquiry, the mayor and three councilors Paras Jain, Ajay Singh and Shankar Sharma were held guilty.
