DPR of Tajewala Head soon, assure Raj, Haryana officials to Shekhawat

Jaipur/New Delhi: Union Jal Shakti minster Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Wednesday held a meeting regarding Yamuna water agreement with the ministers and officials from Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Rajasthan’s WRD Minister Suresh Singh Rawat, his UP counterpart Swatantra Dev Singh, chief secretary of Rajasthan Sudhansh Pant and other officials attended the meeting. It was informed in the meeting that DPR will be prepared within four months and a survey will start within a week.

On behalf of the Bhajan Lal government, WRD Minister Suresh Rawat expressed gratitude in the meeting of the Upper Yamuna Review Committee held in Noida. Rajasthan and Haryana officials assured in the meeting that work will be started soon towards DPR for drinking water from Tajewala Head. A joint DPR can be prepared in Delhi.

Before the meeting, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat inaugurated Yamuna Bhavan in Noida.
