Dotasra: Govt misleading people on Yamuna river water agreement

Jaipur: Congress on Thursday attacked Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma led BJP government saying that it is misleading the people on Yamuna river water agreement made with Haryana government, a claim which BJP rejected sharply.

Addressing a press conference here today, PCC president Govind Singh Dotasra said that the BJP is taking out ‘Aabhar Yatra’, which is misleading and flop.

He said that the interest of Rajasthan has been compromised in the projects including Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) or the MoU over distribution of Yamuna water with Haryana government. Dotasra said that in the agreement, the BJP government of Rajasthan has surrendered before Haryana and on the agreement.

He further said, “Haryana Government has not disclosed what agreement has been made by the BJP Government of Rajasthan and how much water agreement has been made by the BJP Government of Rajasthan. They are misleading people.”

The Congress leader said that the CM in Rajasthan is only doing the work of touring and following the main agenda of RSS and he is trying to confuse the people of the state. He said that the BJP government only wants to take advantage of votes in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections by misleading the people of the state, in which the BJP will not be successful.
