Doctors meet CM but protest continues

Jaipur: Amid the ongoing protest over the Right to Health Act, a representation of doctors finally met CM Gehlot on Thursday. The delegation was headed by Dr Virendra Singh on behalf of private doctors. Prior to this meeting, a group of doctors met PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra.

According to sources, the intentions of the doctors were conveyed to the CM. In response, CM Gehlot has appointed Dotasra to examine and test the points being raised by the doctors in the whole matter.

Dr Virendra Singh, who was in the delegation of 15 doctors, conveyed the sentiments of the agitating doctors to the CM, who assured to look into the matter.

The 15-member delegation of doctors including IMA President Dr Sunil Chugh, Dr Rajshekhar Yadav, Dr Sunil Garsa, and Dr Ashok Sharda reached CMR after their press conference. According to the sources other options will be discussed in case of ‘NO RTH’.

Meanwhile, one faction of resident doctors of the SMS medical colleges returned to work while the other faction has opened a front against it and announced to continue the boycott in support of the private doctors.
