Docs must focus on the concept of ‘Humanity first’: CM

Jaipur: CM Ashok Gehlot on Thursday said that he sometimes thinks of leaving the post of CM but it is the post which is not leaving him.

The CM said this on a lighter note when a woman from Alwar expressed her wish to see Gehlot continuing as the (next) CM after elections.

“The post of CM…I sometimes think of leaving but the post of chief minister is not leaving me. Lets see what happens ahead,” he said.

The woman Dholi Devi from Alwar had said that she wants Gehlot to remain the chief minister even after the elections.

She expressed gratitude to CM for launching Chiranjeevi health insurance scheme under which she underwent heart transplant in a private hospital and got the treatment free of cost.

The CM was interacting with the beneficiaries of organ donation through VC in a programme of foundation laying and inauguration of various medical institutions at CMR.

In the programme, Gehlot also alleged that some RSS minded doctors were instigating doctors to go on strike.
He said that doctors may be of Congress or BJP minded or may have RSS background but doctors should keep humanity first.

“I would like to appeal to those who talk about strike and instigating… to the doctors with RSS background…that do not instigate doctors with RSS background,” he said.

“Today pay scale, pay grade facilities are being given in Rajasthan,” he said. Gehlot said that doctors should not go on strike. “You protest at the Chief Minister’s house, tie a black ribbon, I will understand. The black ribbon (around the arm) will have more impact than the strike,” he said.
