Doc strike: Khimsar visits SMS, says govt monitoring situation

Jaipur: Amid the ongoing doctors' strike, Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar conducted a surprise inspection of hospitals in Jaipur to assess the situation and ensure that medical services were being provided to patients.

His first stop was the emergency ward of SMS Hospital, where he personally reviewed the state of medical services. During his visit, Minister Khimsar interacted with patients and took note of their concerns. Speaking exclusively with First India, he appealed to the striking doctors to return to work immediately. In addition to SMS Hospital, the minister also inspected Satellite Hospital in Jawahar Nagar. He was accompanied by several senior medical officials, including Acting Principal of SMS Med College, Dr. Deepak Maheshwari, and addl superintendent Dr. Girdhar Goyal, among others. Khimsar assured public that govt is closely monitoring the situation across state and is committed to ensuring healthcare services remain operational amid strike.
