Dhariwal seeks explanation from JMC Greater over maintenance of parks

Jaipur: UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal has sought clarification from JMC- Greater Commissioner regarding higher rate of maintenance of parks.

JDA had sent a note to the minister on questions raised on maintenance of parks. In the note, JDA has claimed that the amount spent on maintenance of its parks is half than that spent by Municipal Corporation.

On average, JDA spends Rs 20,000 per hectare on maintenance, while the maintenance rate of Corporation is more than Rs 39,000 per hectare.

JDA awards contract at its BSR rate of 2016, whereasCorporation gives contract at BSR rate of PWD of 2019.

Mayor Sheel Dhabhai had shown photos of poorly maintained JDA parks to Dhariwal & had demanded that JMC’s parks shouldn’t be given to JDA.
