Dhankhar says dams are boon to humanity

Jaipur: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar addressed the International Conference on Dam Safety held in Jaipur on Thursday. “Dams are no less than a boon for humanity as they ensure availability of water for the society and help in irrigation,” he said. Referring to the theme of the G-20 ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’, VP said that the summit introduced the world to our great cultural heritage, rich tradition and values of Indian culture and the whole world is praising us.

Calling himself a farmer’s son and remembering his rural environment, Dhankhar said that he knew the importance of water. Union Minister of Jal Shakti GS Shekhawat, inaugurated National Centre for Earthquake Safety of Dams at MNIT in Jaipur.
