DGP FORMS 6-MEMBER TEAM TO PROBE VIOLENCE ACROSS STATE

Jaipur/Jodhpur: DGP ML Lather on Friday constituted a 6-member investigation team led by ADG Vigilance Biju George Joseph to investigate the communal incidents in the state.

The team will investigate the incidents in Karauli, Jodhpur and Bhilwara, to see whether there is any conspiracy. IG Crime Rajendra Singh, SP SOG Gaurav Yadav and 2 more officers are in the team.

Meanwhile, the curfew imposed after the riots in Jodhpur was extended till May 8 midnight. The curfew was, however, relaxed for two hours from 8 am to 10 am on Friday but now the curfew relaxation will be given for four hours.

On Friday, people came out of their homes for essential items. Though, many shops did not open even during relaxation period. Long queues were seen for vegetables, milk and groceries. The gathering of more than 5 people was prohibited but the people ignored it.
