DGP directs top officials to attend office

Jaipur: Director General of Police Umesh Mishra on Tuesday chaired a crime meeting in police headquarters and gave a slew of directions to senior police officials. The DGP gave directions that all officials, ranging from IGs to SHOs, will strictly remain in their respective offices from 12 pm to 1:30 pm so that complainants can meet officials and give their grievances. DGP Umesh Mishra said that it is very difficult for complainants to meet SHO at present and so they must remain in their chambers from 12 pm to 1:30 pm. During the meeting, the DGP also congratulated police officials for their performances. DGP congratulated Jhalawar SP, Kota (City) SP, and police officials of Jodhpur Commissionerate for taking prompt action and solving the cases. The DGP also approved the purchase of OB van for recording and monitoring news at the Police Headquarters. Expressing displeasure over the incident of missing arms from a police station in Bhilwara, the DGP ordered the audit of the Mal Khanas (Store Houses) of all the police stations in next 15 days.
