Dengue, eye-flu, malaria, chikungunya grip the State

Jaipur: Rajasthan is in the grip of seasonal diseases, which seem to be in super active mode with widespread rains. So far one person died of dengue and 683 positive cases have been reported. Maximum 232 cases of dengue have been identified in Jaipur. 686 cases of malaria, 56 cases of chikungunya have also been reported.

Along with this, there is also a huge outbreak of scrub typhus, and eyeflu. So far 268 cases of scrub have come in the state and 2 patients have died. More than 1.5 lakh patients have also been identified with eye-flu. However, the number of patients in the field is much higher than the official figures.

Superintendent of SMS Hospital, Dr. Achal Sharma says that the cases of diseases increase after the rains and it is true that the cases have increased, but resources have been increased from OPD to IPD in the same proportion.
