Delay mars B2 bypass project to make city traffic signal-free

Jaipur: The obstacles in the way of making the capital traffic signal free under the B2 bypass intersection project have not been cleared. If the JDA officials continue to be negligent, it may further get delayed. The project costs Rs 155 crore and started in January 2022 and was to be completed in July. However, due to excess work, non-availability of required land on time, shifting of large lines of drinking water and sewer and rain during monsoon, the work could not be completed.

Around 1469 square metres of land of both the malls situated at the intersection is to be taken in about 20-feet width. JDA has sent a letter to the affected people to get the land.

The people of city are suffering the loss due to the delay of JDA officials in providing land. Due to ongoing project work, traffic has been diverted for several months. If there is further delay in the project, the drivers will have to continue to take long detours.
