Dausa MP Meena rues SC order on SC/ST reservation
Jaipur: Dausa MP Murarilal Meena has raised a strong objection to the Supreme Court’s recent order of sub classification of SC ST reservation while terming the decision against the spirit of the Constitution.
The MP said that the central government did not make any effective plea on this because the central government itself wants that the reservation should be abolished at any cost.
“This decision is unconstitutional because the reservation of SC ST is not based on economic basis but on culture and residential traditions from ancient times. The BJP government wants to abolish it by making it controversial under the guise of the honourable court,” he said at a press conference.
The MP demanded that the government should get caste-based census done so that it will be clear who is getting how much reservation. He said that the SC- ST share in the High and Supreme Courts is only 3 percent.
