‘Daring’ DGP Lather transfers 149 RPS at his own level!

Jaipur: Has the ‘honour’ of the government really started falling? Has the bureaucracy really started giving a wide berth to the ‘government’? Notably, a few days back Gehlot himself had satired and said, “As soon as the elections approach, the officers start to listen less.”

And now it is this satire and apprehension of Gehlot that came true on Friday as DGP ML Lather issued the transfer list of 149 RPS officers

According to sources, there was no discussion even at the level of the Chief Minister, who happens to be the home minister as well.

DGP made the final list at his own level and issued the same just 18 days before his retirement. Now everyone at the top level in the government is shocked and surprised!

Sandeep Saraswat, who was removed as Dy SP- Dargah in Ajmer in July after controversy and was under APO, was made the new circle officer of Niwai in Tonk. He was removed after a video surfaced in which he was allegedly telling a cleric, who was arrested for making a controversial video, that he should say that he was intoxicated. The post of CO Niwai was lying vacant after the state govt suspended Rudra Sharma last week.

Circle officers (Deputy SPs) in many districts have been changed as per the transfer list.
