Cyber cell head constable saves man from suicide
Jaipur: A man who about to commit suicide by hanging himself in a hotel room was saved before he could take the extreme step on Saturday night. Police said that the man, a resident of Bagru town of Jaipur, checked into a hotel on Ajmer highway last night with the intention to commit suicide.
He started Facebook Live and threatened to commit suicide.
His friends and family saw the live feed on Facebook and immediately informed head constable Dinesh Sharma in Jaipur. Dinesh Sharma, acted swiftly and traced his location and called the hotel staff.
When his presence was confirmed, he directed the staff to break open the door.
The staff broke the door and caught the man who was about to hang himself from ceiling fan.
Head constable Dinesh Sharma is posted in the cyber cell of Jaipur West district. DCP West Amit Kumar has appreciated the head constable for his prompt response.
