‘Cultural Diaries’ to debut at Albert Hall
Jaipur: The tourism department is doing several innovations to promote the folk art and culture of Rajasthan. Under this, a programme called ‘Cultural Diaries’ will be held at Albert Hall in Jaipur on November 15 and 16. This fortnightly programme is an initiative of Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari.
istes and artistes from all forms of art will perform at Albert Hall twice a month, every Friday and Saturday. On November 15, there will be presentations from the Braj region of the state, while on Saturday, Langa-Manganiyar artistes of Barmer will perform.
Through Cultural Diaries, the state government is working towards empowering folk artistes economically and socially. It is noteworthy that this program series will include folk arts as well as contemporary music, live theater and other cultural presentations, which will showcase a complete spectrum of the traditions of Rajasthan.
The objective of this initiative by the Rajasthan Tourism Department is to provide an opportunity to domestic and international tourists visiting Jaipur to experience the cultural diversity of Rajasthan.
