CS Usha stresses on adhering to Model Code of Conduct
Jaipur: Chief Secretary Usha Sharma conducted crucial meetings on Saturday, even though it was a holiday, to discuss preparations for the upcoming assembly elections.
In meetings with Collectors and Divisional Commissioners, she emphasized the importance of adhering to the code of conduct and discussed potential measures for its implementation.
Instructions were issued to the Collectors regarding the code of conduct, including obtaining permission from the Election Commission of India for using circuit houses and dak bungalows. The use of govt vehicles will be stopped, and compliance will be monitored in respective districts and constituencies.
Furthermore, public programmes like inaugurations, foundation stone layings, approval of new works, and fund sanctions will be suspended.
Govt visits in the concerned constituencies will also be prohibited.
