CS discusses advanced agri technologies with Israel Ambassador to India Gilon

Jaipur: Israel’s Ambassador to India Naor Gilon held detailed discussions regarding advanced agricultural technologies in agriculture sector with Chief Secretary Usha Sharma here.

CS Sharma highlighted the similarities in climate between Rajasthan and Israel, which make the adoption of Israeli agricultural techniques feasible in the state.

She emphasized the concept of “Mini Israel” in Rajasthan, where farmers are benefiting from cutting-edge agricultural practices, resulting in increased profits.

Gillon, in turn, appreciated the “Mini Israel” initiative and other innovations in the state.
Furthermore, he shared insights into the advancements in micro-irrigation in Israel and expressed views on water conservation in Rajasthan.

During the meeting, discussions were also held regarding Israel’s cooperation in establishing a Center of Excellence in the state.
