CS attends meeting regarding air quality
Jaipur: Chief Secretary Usha Sharma joined the meeting regarding air quality in the NCR being conducted by the Union Cabinet Secretary through video-conferencing.
Principal Secretary Anand Kumar and other officers also joined the meeting through videoconferencing. The meeting was called in view of the deteriorating air quality. Officials discussed the number of instructions being followed in the areas of Rajasthan adjacent to NCR regarding pollution.
Meanwhile, The State Pollution Control Board issued notices to about 89 industrial units across the state. There is a demand to close industries and cancel the environmental compensation notice order. A letter has also been written to the electricity department to disconnect the power connection.
Entrepreneurs have taken a united stand against the notice and a Delegation of United Council of Rajasthan Industries will meet State Pollution Control Board Chairman Shikhar Aggarwal regarding the demands very soon.
President of United Council of Rajasthan Industry, Tara Chand Aggarwal gave information regarding this.
