CS asks officials to find new public transportation routes

Jaipur: Chief Secretary Usha Sharma while presiding over the inter-departmental issues related to the budget announcements of RSRTC and RSBTDA of the Transport and Road Safety Department at the government Secretariat, on Tuesday, said that public transport should be promoted as the population and number of vehicles in Jaipur is increasing.

New routes should be found where there are no routes for city transport and minibuses, she added. She directed departments to mark new routes within 15 days. On this occasion, a detailed presentation of ‘Comprehensive Traffic and Transportation Study’ for Jaipur region was given under the direction of JDA Commissioner Ravi Jain.
