CP Joshi, others meet Jhajharia at his residence

Jaipur: BJP state president CP Joshi met sportspersons at the residence of Padma Bhushan and Arjuna Awardee and gold medalist Devendra Jhajharia on World Olympic Day on Friday, and discussed various schemes of the Narendra Modi government to encourage sports and honoured all the sportspersons present there on the occasion.

Joshi said that on World Olympic Day, it is a great fortune to meet the players who have brought laurels to the country. “It is necessary to meet and honour sportspersons who have brought laurels to the state and the country. The Modi government at the Centre increased the budget of Khelo India by Rs 400 crore to Rs 1000 crore this year and Rs 3389 crores were allocated to the Sports Ministry,” he said.
