Couple run over by car following a verbal fight, girl succumbs to injuries

In the early hours of Tuesday, under the jurisdiction of Jawahar Nagar Police station, a couple,  Rajkumar Jat and Uma Suthar along with another girl and a man named Mangesh Arora were leaving a party when Mangesh allegedly passed indecent comments towards Uma, which led to a heated argument between them. 
The accused allegedly attacked the couple with a baseball bat. After the intervention of people on the spot, Mangesh and the other girl sat in the car, whereas Rajkumar Jat and Uma Started walking. Suddenly, Mangesh hit both of them head-on with his car, crushing the couple, and fled the scene.
The victims were rushed to a private hospital, where the young girl, a resident of Madhya Pradesh succumbed to her injuries.
Police officials reached the spot upon receiving information. An FIR has been registered in the case, and the matter is being further investigated.
