Cost of IPD tower rises from Rs 588 to Rs 665 cr

Jaipur: The cost of IPD tower at SMS Hospital has increased from Rs 588 crore to Rs 665 crore. Approval was given on the increased cost of the project in JDA’s project working committee meeting. The cost was enhanced due to an increase in the coverage area of the cardiology building, sewerage treatment plant, waste treatment plant and other facilities to be proposed in the basement.

JDA and Housing Board will bear the cost in their respective proportion. The committee also cleared a proposal regarding construction of roads in Adarsh Nagar Assembly constituency. The roads will be constructed from ward No. 76 to 100 with an expenditure of Rs 20 crores.
