Cops attacked on way to remove illegal construction, 3 held

Jaipur: A case of assault on the police team has come to light in Jaipur. On receiving information about illegal construction, the police team had gone to stop the work. But angry people created a ruckus and tore the uniforms of the policemen. A case has been registered in Kardhani police station for obstructing govt work.

Police said that SI Harpal Singh (59), resident of Neem ka thana Sikar, has lodged the report. He said that on Friday morning, information was received about illegal construction. A team left. A woman and two boys were seen doing some construction work. When the police team tried to stop them, Prem Devi and her companions Aditya and Dhirendra engaged in a scuffle. Prem Devi assaulted a female head constable. The police rounded up 3 people.
