Control room set up to curb illegal mining

Jaipur: Following instructions of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the State Mines Department has started a crackdown on illegal mining activities. The department has set up a control room, which operates 24 hours, seven days a week. For people’s convenience, the state government has also released the control room’s WhatsApp number 9468742101.

Any citizen can give info regarding illegal mining, illegal mineral transportation and illegal mineral storage on the WhatsApp number. During a virtual meeting of department officials on Saturday, Mines Secretary Anandi said that officials will have to stop illegal activities at the root.
