Congress govt adopting policy of appeasement of criminals: Rathore

Jaipur: BJP’s national spokesperson and Jaipur Rural MP Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on Friday targeted the law and order situation of the state, saying that the atmosphere of hooliganism has been created in the state.

He also attacked the govt over the attempt of self-immolation by a man outside the police station in Ajmer’s Kekri.
“The public is under the shadow of fear, and criminals are roaming freely. In such a situation, an atmosphere of hooliganism has been created in the state,” Rathore told reporters at a press conference. Rathore accused the state govt of adopting a policy of appeasement in rape crimes, saying that instead of registering a case under the POCSO Act against the accused in the gang-rape case of a minor in Jaitaran, Pali, the police tried to suppress it.

He said that the cases of rape have increased by 22 percent in the state.
Rathore said that the journalist who had exposed the 1992-Ajmer rape and blackmail case was murdered while the Cong govt was in power.
