Cong stages protest in Jpr, slams BJP over Adani issue
Jaipur: The opposition Congress on Wednesday held a protest in Jaipur on the Adani issue and cornered the Modi govt and BJP govt over a range of issues. PCC chief Govind Singh Dotasra, former CM Ashok Gehlot, former deputy CM Sachin Pilot and other leaders addressed the party leaders and workers at Shaheed Smarak in Jaipur and called the workers for a march to Raj Bhavan.
Dotasra accused the central govt of looting the wealth created by Cong over the years. He questioned role of SEBI in the ongoing financial dealings and criticized the BJP’s approach of “loot and plunder.” Dotasra also raised the issue of the ERCP not being declared a national project.
Gehlot highlighted the issue of the Adani scandal being raised in Parliament by Rahul Gandhi, but he claimed that Rahul’s microphone was silenced. He criticized Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha speakers, both from Rajasthan, for not ensuring the proper functioning of the Parliament. Gehlot also mentioned the importance of strengthening Congress.
Former deputy CM Pilot targeted the central govt, saying, “The central govt is walking on two crutches.” He pointed out that Rajasthan lost 11 Lok Sabha seats, which is why the state is not being given its due. The Congress leader also mentioned that despite the PM visit, ERCP was not declared a national project.
