Cong sets 1.5 lakh jobs target; Gehlot to monitor recruitments!

Jaipur: The Gehlot government has prepared a plan to provide jobs to 1.5 lakh unemployed individuals in the election year. Sources reveal that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has asked all the departments to fill such posts which have been lying vacant for a long time. Apart from filling the vacant posts, new posts will also be created in many departments to accommodate the unemployed youths.

The government is preparing to provide 1.5 lakh jobs, but it is also a fact that in the last three and a half years, the government has not been able to undertake recruitment as per the budget announcement.

The government had announced that it will give jobs to 75 thousand unemployed every year. Accordingly, more than 2.25 lakh jobs were to be given, but till now only 1 lakh 19 thousand 559 jobs, across various posts, have been given.

In view of the election year, CM Gehlot himself will regularly monitor the recruitments. It is worth mentioning that a day earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also announced to make available 10 lakh recruitments in the central departments.
