‘Cong remarkably contributed in freedom struggle’
Jaipur: CM Ashok Gehlot said that the Congress has made a remarkable contribution in the freedom struggle of the country and the country has acquired freedom due to the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. The CM was formally interacting with Congress workers at the Shaheed Smarak on the concluding ceremony of the ‘Azadi Ki Gaurav Yatra’ taken out by the Raj PCC on the occasion of 75th anniversary of independence. He said that the purpose of this visit is to remember the countrymen and leaders who laid down their lives for nation’s freedom. We should work unitedly for the country and take it forward, he said.
CM Ashok Gehlot, Congress State President GS Dotasra and other party leaders paid tributes to the martyrs by at Shaheed Smarak on Independence Day. Govind Singh Dotasara said White & Green revolutions, Right to Vote for youth aged 18 yrs, RTI, schemes like MNREGA are the contribution of Congress. On this occasion, Dharmendra Rathore, in-charge of the Independence Day celebrations and RTDC Chairman, congratulated the countrymen and targeted the Modi government fiercely saying that in last 75 years, India has left an indelible mark on international arena based on hard work of talented Indians. “India established a free, fair & transparent poll system under the leadership of visionary leaders, while strengthening democracy & constitutional institutions. India has made its identity as a leading nation, which has always lived up to pluralistic test of language-religion-sect.”
