Cong govt working to support criminals: BJP

Jaipur: BJP National Secretary Alka Gurjar on Monday targeted the Congress government of Rajasthan saying that it is working to support the criminals and harass the victims. Talking to reporters in Jaipur, Gurjar said that no financial assistance was provided by the Gehlot government to the Bhilwara minor rape and murder victim’s family. She said that a delegation of four women MPs of BJP visited the spot on Sunday and handed over a cheque of Rs 11 lakh to the victim’s family.

Apart from this, financial assistance of more than Rs 30 lakh has been given to the victim’s family by the BJP with the help of various welfare organizations.

“I want to ask Chief Minister Gehlot that the Yuvraj of his is coming to Banswara, will he also visit the houses of rape victims in Dungarpur, Salumbar, Kotdi and Bikaner’s Khajuwala?” Alka Gurjar said.

Suman Sharma, former chairperson of the Women’s Commission, alleged that after the Congress government came to power in 2018, Rajasthan has topped in crime against women.
