Conduct first counselling in 45 days, instruct new guidelines

Jaipur: The Education Department on Thursday issued detailed guidelines for coaching institutes in State. As per the guidelines, it will be mandatory for coaching institutes to conduct first counselling of the students of their coaching on 45 days, second counselling on 90 days and third counselling on the completion of 120 days. Similarly, it will be mandatory for coaching institutes to establish a toll-free number and a complaint box inside the coaching institute. The coaching institutes will have to provide links of online classes to the students along with offline.

“The number of students in the hostel should not be more than the specified capacity. In case the student leaves the hostel, the fees should be charged for that period only. Also, if the child leaves the coaching institute in between, the institution has to refund the fees. The police will also have to keep the data of the coaching students,” read the guidelines.

Along with this, the coaching institutes will have to establish a peer group evaluation system and appoint psychological counsellors for the students. Also, a oneday holiday will be kept in the coaching institutions and no examination or test will be conducted on the next day of the holiday. Also, the test results will not be announced publicly.

The coaching institutes will now have to organize parents-teacher meetings every three months and it will have to be organized in offline and online mode, stated the guideline.
