Sawai Madhopur: Ramkesh Meena, Advisor to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, has threatened an agitation that if the drinking water problem in Gangapur is not resolved within two months, he would sit on a dharna in front of the mini secretariat with city people.

An irate Meena said, “‘The people of Gangapur are stuck in the dispute between the government, water supply department and the company. Work was to start from 2005 but it’s 2022 and they still can’t get proper drinking. Gangapur is getting only 10 MLD water instead of 146 MLD.” Meena said that departmental engineers were brought on the spot many times and requests were made to ministers but the problem persists. Meena was addressing a programme and sought support from all people present there. City Council Chairman Shivratan Aggarwal gave his consent to Meena’s demand.
