CM Sharma defends Finance Bill, criticises Congress policies

Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma defended the Finance Bill, stating, “The opposition has no words to criticize the budget.” He outlined the government’s forwardlooking vision, saying, “We are moving forward with the vision of 2047 and a developed India.” Sharma criticised the Leader of Opposition, claiming, “The Leader of Opposition is seeing darkness in his own party” and is in competition with Govind Singh Dotasra.

Sharma accused Congress of changing the name of the Rajasthan Canal to the Indira Gandhi Canal in 1984 for political gain and highlighted their tradition of favoring a single family. He added, “The name of Annapurna Kitchen was also changed to Indira Gandhi, and Congress’s wrong policies have put power companies at risk.”

In a poetic jab at Congress, Sharma remarked, “Many travelers have passed through the road before us. At least they should have cleared the stone from the road before leaving.” CM defended the BJP’s achievements and criticised Congress for past failures, such as lack of animal insurance and neglect of Panchayati Raj. He claimed Congress’s focus on one family led to poor governance, citing the name change of Atal Seva Kendra to Rajiv Gandhi Kendra and the failure to build a Medical College in Rajsamand. He praised PM Modi’s efforts in fund transfers & vaccination drive, urging Congress to address internal issues rather than blame the Centre. He touted BJP’s stance on paper leaks & resolve to good governance.
