CM Sharma calls for achieving the goal of a ‘Healthy Rajasthan’ vision

Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma launched three healthcare campaigns on Sunday at a function held at the Chief Minister’s residence. These included the ‘National Pulse Polio Campaign’, the ‘Abha ID Banao’ campaign under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, and the ‘Stop Diarrhea Campaign-2024’.

Addressing the gathering, Sharma emphasized the state government’s commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services to the people of Rajasthan. He stressed the importance of ensuring every citizen’s health for achieving the goal of a ‘Healthy Rajasthan’. Sharma highlighted the benefits of online health records, which would facilitate quicker access to medical facilities and reduce unnecessary healthcare expenses.

On the occasion of Polio Day, Chief Minister Sharma inaugurated the ‘National Pulse Polio Campaign’ by administering pulse polio doses to children up to 5 years old across the state. Additionally, he launched the ‘Abha ID Banao’ campaign to issue digital health IDs under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, and the ‘Stop Diarrhea Campaign-2024’.

CM Bhajanlal Sharma and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar unveiled campaign posters and distributed Abha ID cards, ORS packets, zinc tablets to beneficiaries, focusing on improving child health in state.

Medical and Health Dept aims to administer pulse polio doses to approximately 1.07 cr children, utilizing more than 61,500 booths and over 77,500 teams.

CM instructed officials to establish a system to generate a unique health ID number for every newborn, enabling comprehensive record management. Addl CS - Medical and Health, Shubhra Singh, highlighted that the ‘Stop Diarrhea Campaign’ will run from July 1 to August 31 to combat diarrhea-related illnesses.

The programme was attended by NHM Mission Director Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, Additional Mission Director Arun Garg, Director of Public Health Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur, and other officials.
