CM Sharma announces free land deeds for over 21,000 nomadic families in Raj
Jaipur: CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, on Wednesday, emphasised govt’s commitment to Gandhi’s ideals of cleanliness and welfare under Modi’s leadership. Addressing the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission Rural and Residential Lease Distribution Programme’ at the State Agricultural Management Institute in Durgapura, he noted that October 2 marks the birth anniversaries of Gandhiji and former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri, both of whom dedicated their lives to nation’s strength.
CM also announced a historic initiative to allocate land to homeless individuals from marginalized communities, benefiting over 21,000 families. He emphasized these communities are integral to Rajasthan’s culture and have historically contributed to the country’s independence.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma highlighted that nearly 50% of the promises in the Sankalp Patra have been fulfilled within nine months. Key achievements include increasing farmers’ support funds, raising wheat MSP, providing subsidized LPG, and boosting honorariums for Anganwadi and Panchayat workers.
He reiterated the goal of energy self-reliance and sufficient daytime electricity for farmers by 2027.
Sharma noted around 60,000 fourth-class job vacancies, with plans for transparent recruitment of 23,820 sanitation workers. The CM distributed residential leases to marginalized communities and emphasised cleanliness by recognising gram panchayats & distributing PPE kits to sanitation workers.
