CM questions BJP over donations through bonds, fear of Central agencies

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot while addressing the gathering during an event held to mark the 79th birth anniversary of former PM Late Rajiv Gandhi at PCC Headquarters, spoke about the BJP taking donations in the name of bonds, said that how many people of BJP have taken money in the name of bonds. “The Supreme Court should take a quick decision in the interest of the country. Whenever there are elections in the country, the Centre creates fear by sending ED, CBI, Income Tax and taking donations through bonds,” he said.

Taking a dig at PM Modi, Gehlot said PM is doing the work of erasing all those who created history for the country. Raising the issue of renaming the museum named after Nehru in Delhi, Gehlot said, “Whether PM Modi is doing this under the pressure of RSS, BJP or with his own thinking, it is wrong. Modi ji is the PM of the country and not of any particular party or individual. PM should play a part in country’s history. Otherwise, historians will write this in black letters.” CM said that Rajiv Gandhi worked to give direction to nation, adding that he got the opportunity to work with Rajiv Gandhi and Gandhi brought the youth forward. “That’s why Rajiv Gandhi made me the President of PCC at the age of 34. Rajiv Gandhi wanted to establish peace in the subcontinent. He gave women a chance to move forward,” he said.
