CM modernised & strengthened Raj police: DGP
Jaipur: In his welcome address during the Rajasthan Police Foundation Day celebration at Rajasthan police academy on Sunday, Director General of Police Umesh Mishra said that Rajasthan Police was established on April 16, 1949 with the issuance of Rajasthan Police Integration Ordinance.
“At present Rajasthan Police of 1.12 lakh force is working diligently to prevent violence and crime along with maintaining law and order in the state as per its glorious traditions,” he said. Expressing gratitude for the works done by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to modernise and strengthen the police, he assured to maintain peace and order in the state.
RPA Director Rajeev Sharma also thanked the guests. He expressed his gratitude towards the efforts made by the Chief Minister to increase the capacity of the Rajasthan Police. DGP Mishra and Rajeev Sharma also presented a memento to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
The CM took the salute of the parade organised on the occasion. Troops of RAC, Jaipur Commissionerate, Nirbhaya Squad, Hadi Rani Battalion, Mewar Bhil Corps, Traffic Police, and SDRF participated in the parade under the leadership of Trainee IPS Shaheen C.
