CM Gehlot to lay foundation of Rs 2,422-cr road projects today
Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will lay the foundation stone for the works of connecting 1514 revenue villages with roads at a cost of Rs 2,422 crores at the Chief Minister’s residence on Monday. Public Works Minister Bhajanlal Jatav and other guests will be present in the programme.
Principal Secretary, Public Works Department, Vaibhav Galriya said that this State-level programme will be organised virtually at 12 noon, in which offices up to the concerned gram panchayat level will be connected online.
“The Chief Minister had announced to connect the villages of the State with new roads with the aim of further strengthening the path of development to the villages of the State,” said Galriya.
The roads include 827 in Barmer, 250 in Jodhpur, 100 in Udaipur, 74 in Jaisalmer, 35 in Banswara, 21 each in Tonk and Dungarpur, and 5 in Jaipur.
